SCOTTISH BLOOD. AFRICAN STEEL.
Turriff Knives exists at the intersection of history and paleontology. Founder Stuart Hay traces his lineage back to the Hay and Campbell clans of Scotland - warriors who held Delgatie Castle and survived the harsh Highland climate. Like the Highland Cattle that grace our logo, our knives are bred for severity.
But a Turriff knife is more than a tool; it is a vessel for history. Inspired by the concept of amber - fossilized resin that preserves the past - we created a proprietary handle material that blends the raw essence of Africa with modern technology. By stabilizing organic matter from African giants (Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo) with carbon fiber, we create a handle that is as durable as it is storied.
Named after the great rivers of Africa, like the Rufiji Delta, our blades are built with a specific purpose: to work. We reject the "sharpened pry-bar" mentality. Instead, we grind thinner, sharper spines for superior cutting ability, heat-treated to hold an edge through the toughest field dressing.
